Steve Miller, M.D., J.D.

Biography

As a seasoned intellectual property attorney and former practicing physician,
Dr. Miller brings a unique perspective to intellectual property development
within the medical device and biotechnology spaces. Steven particularly
enjoys working with individual inventors and early-stage startup companies
to counsel, develop, and manage all types of intellectual property assets,
both domestic and international. Steven also represents overseas clients
seeking to develop IP assets in the United States.

After receiving his Medical Degree from the University of South Alabama in
Mobile, Dr. Miller moved to Seattle where he completed a residency in general
surgery at the University of Washington. He then spent nearly twenty years as
a busy practicing surgeon before leaving clinical medicine to attend law
school. Since receiving his law degree from the Phoenix School of Law in
Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Miller worked with major law firms in Phoenix and Boston.
In 2019, Steven left Boston for Scottsdale, Arizona to start IPath PLC which has
since grown to represent clients nationwide and internationally. Steven
proudly collaborates with the attorneys and staff of Nguyen Tarbet for the
benefit of both firms’ clients.
